Despite all the recent scientific advances in medications, procedures, and devices, the rate of sudden heart attacks is on the rise over the past decade and a half. This is a serious issue that will require more than one fix-all solution, but solving the issue of lack of access to early detection and prevention will play a crucial role. This led to the formation of Clarity Cardiac CT, where we are transforming the landscape of cardiac care. Our unique RV is equipped with the Arineta CT scanner, the world's fastest Cardiac CT scanner, bringing cutting-edge technology directly to your community. This State-of-the-Art mobile unit is designed to diagnose and prevent heart disease with unprecedented speed and accuracy.
Why Clarity Cardiac CT is Crucial
The major studies and cardiology guidelines from the American Heart Association (AHA), the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American College of Radiology (ACR) now recommends Cardiac Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA) as the first test for most patients presenting with chest pain. This is particularly important in areas like the Inland Empire, where access to high-quality, low-radiation CT scans is limited.
By offering the first commercial mobile dedicated Cardiac CT in the country, modeled after the NIH RURAL Heart and Lung Study's Mobile Examination Unit (for more about that click here), we ensure that our patients and those at risk in our community receive the best possible care. Our mobile unit allows us to reach more people, making a significant impact in preventing acute heart attacks and saving lives.
Join us at Clarity Cardiac CTA and be part of a revolutionary approach to cardiac care. Contact us today to learn more or to schedule an appointment. Your heart deserves the best, and we are here to provide it.

Advanced Physics for Superior Imaging
Our Arineta CT scanner leverages State-of-the-Art physics to minimize radiation exposure while maximizing high-definition, accurate images. This 560-slice CT scanner not only operates at lightning speed but also ensures patient safety with the least radiation possible due to its efficiency.
Early Detection and Personalized Prevention
Think of the Arineta CT scanner as the "mammogram for the heart." It allows us to detect heart disease early, even before symptoms appear. This early detection is crucial for customizing prevention strategies based on individual's plaque burden and type, which can sometimes lead to a reduction in medication needs.
Comprehensive Screening Process
1. Calcium Score Screening: Our first screening test is a calcium score, which takes less than five minutes. This test identifies the presence of plaque in your coronary arteries. A calcium score equal to or greater than 1 indicates atherosclerosis, meaning plaque has been building up in your arteries over time.
2. Coronary CT Angiogram (CCTA): If the calcium score is high or if other risk factors are present, we perform a more in-depth coronary CT angiogram. This test, which uses IV contrast and requires a blood test to ensure safety, provides a detailed analysis of plaque characteristics and helps to assess the effectiveness of treatments. The radiation exposure is minimal, comparable to a mammogram, and the procedure is quick.
Addressing the Limitations of Traditional Tests
Traditional EKG risk scores and stress tests often detect heart disease too late, only when blockages exceed 75%. Symptoms typically appear after an artery is 75% blocked, making these tests less effective for early detection.
In contrast, the CCTA visualizes all plaque types, distinguishing between stable calcified plaque and high-risk unstable plaque. Despite advances in medical treatments, the rate of sudden heart attacks has been rising over the past 15 years, largely due to unstable plaques that traditional stress tests cannot detect.
Reducing the Risk of Sudden Heart Attacks
Many sudden heart attacks are caused by unstable plaques that are less than 50% blocked, which traditional tests miss. Since 50% of people who suffer sudden heart attacks never experience prior symptoms, they miss the chance for early intervention. Our coronary CT scanner can detect these unstable plaques, providing an opportunity to prevent sudden heart attacks through early and effective prevention strategies.
